In India, a series of attacks on women in a
New Delhi suburb have led to new efforts
to protect them.
The latest official figures show the capital
has had the largest number of reported
rape cases in the country.
The issue has prompted numerous
demonstrations and other initiatives to
report areas with a high number of crimes
not just to police, but politicians as well.
Police in Gurgoan, a suburb that has been
a centre of crimes against women in New
Delhi, say they are developing a plan to
provide more security in order to help
solve the problem.
